The grapes for this wine were picked at night to keep the temperature cool and enhance fruit quality and freshness.

This wine is full of character highlighted with aromas of fresh berry, black cherry and candy. The fruit flavours are balanced with a natural intensity and very smooth finish.

TASTING NOTES

COLOR: Medium dark red colour
with purple tints

AROMA: Lifted, strawberries and cream,
blue primary fruits and lovely florals

PALATE: A medium body style wine that shows a fine and elegant palate, flavours of red plums, strawberries and hints of cocao. The wine is concentrated with ripe, vibrant mid palate fruit and succulent acidity and supple tannin that rounds out a lovely balanced wine.

WINEMAKING

This delicious wine is a single vineyard wine picked from our Alberts vineyard. (Where the family story started in 1922) The fruit was destemmed to small static fermenter , the whole berries partially undergoing some carbonic maceration during fermentation. The wine was pumped twice daily. The wine completed MLF in barrel and matured for 9 months in a large format cask to keep the wine pure to it varietal origins. No fining was used for this Fragola.
